Jerk Chicken Ingredients
- You need 2 lb of Chicken.
- Prepare of Marinade.
- Prepare 1 cup of Orange Juice.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of White Wine Vinegar.
- You need 1/2 bunch of Fresh Green Onion diced.
- You need 5 clove of Garlic.
- You need 2 of medium Limes.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of Soy Sauce.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of Sugar.
- You need 1/2 tbsp of Molasses.
- Prepare 3 tsp of Olive Oil.
- You need 1 tsp of Nutmeg.
- Prepare 3/4 tsp of Cayenne.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of Allspice.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of Ginger.
- You need 1/4 tsp of Cinnamon.
- You need 1/4 tsp of Cumin.
- You need 2 of medium Jalapenos chopped & seeded.
- Prepare 1 of medium Habanero chopped & seeded.
- You need 1 Bunch of fresh Thyme.
- Prepare of Dry Rub.
- You need 3/4 tbsp of Sugar.
- You need 3/4 tsp of Dried Thyme.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of Season Salt.
- You need 1/4 tsp of Nutmeg.
- You need 1/4 tsp of Ginger.
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of Allspice.
- You need 1/4 tsp of Jalapeno Powder (chipotle works).
- You need 1 dash (1/8 tsp) of Cumin.
- You need 1 dash (1/8 tsp) of Cinnamon.
- You need 1 dash (1/8 tsp) of Cayenne.
- You need 1 of Salt & Pepper.
Jerk Chicken step by step
- One lime is sliced thinly and placed in a marinade bag with the chicken for 10-15 minutes..
- Mix the rest of the marinade items in a blender (2nd lime is juiced)..
- Add the blended mixture to the chicken & lime slices in your marinade bag..
- Let the chicken marinade in the fridge for at least 4-8 hours, possibly overnight..
- Take chicken out of the marinade and add the dry rub & start cooking..
